Kiel Junior Chamber

The Kiel Junior Chamber consists of a single Chapter with over 70 members, of which none is over 40 years of age. We, are active in 8 working groups: Service Sector, Communication; Start-up Support; Know-how Transfer; Projects; School and the Economy; Sports and Events and International Relations. In addition to its active members, the Kiel Junior Chamber is supported by 50 former members as well as numerous guests who are seeking membership.

Our Junior Chamber represents a wide range of regional, national, and international companies, who have their head offices in the
Kiel region. Kiel with its 250,000 citizens is not only the capital of Schleswig-Holstein but also the cultural and economic centre of the region north of Hamburg, and last but not least Kiel is the link to Scandinavia, the Baltic States, and Eastern Europe.

Through its tourist and economic activities,
Kiel has already played host to national conferences of the 11,000 German Junior Chamber members several times. However, not only does the Junior Chamber come to Kiel but also many tourists e.g. on the occasion of the Kieler Woche, which attracts 3,500,000 visitors every year during the last week of June.

The goal of our international activities is to get to know the JCs from our partner regions an beyond in order to explore their economy and culture. This should be followed by cooperation projects that could touch all aspects of life, such as an exchange of trainees; company visits; exchange of information and experience with regard to capital investment in the respective country. We have plenty of ideas and are eager to share them with other JCs. The twinning should, in any case, be accompanied by mutual visits at least once a year and needs joint projects in order to make it an active and sustainable partnership.
